Fund Raising - Popcorn
Popcorn Fundraising is the fall fundraiser Pack 631 hosts annually. to raise money for the pack. The pack receives up to 35% commission on all popcorn sales which are used towards pack dues. This enables us to provide fun activities and events throughout the upcoming scout year. Additional money raised allows for repairs and unexpected costs throughout the year.
How to Participate
Store Front Sales or "Show-n-Sell"
This is when scouts attend a pack official show and sell event located at per-determined local businesses.
Show-n-Sell Sign-Ups
Pack 631 uses the Trail's End App for store front registrations. Once registered and in the app, select store front and review available times, dates, and locations.
Show-n-Sell Shared Calculations
As some time slots are busier than others, Pack 631 splits the revenue from the days' event by the number of hours worked per scout. the more the scouts sell the more they have split between them.
Cash Donations
All Cash donations are split between the scouts that supported that days event, in accordance with the hours worked.
Online Sales
Online Sales are easy! Scouts create an online Trails End page to expand their fundraising opportunity. Families can use Trails End to post on social media in additional to sending out emails to family, friends, etc. not in the area. Trails End ships directly to the customer! For contacts outside the United States, please suggest an American Heroes donation - where Trails End ships popcorn to our First Responders and Military.
Wagon Sales
This includes door to door, friends, family, and business sales. All payments are due at time of order. Once the Kernel receives payment, popcorn will be distributed, and the scout family is responsible for delivery. Customers can choose to have their order shipped directly from Trails End for a small extra fee (Online Direct) or delivered by the scout at a later date. Packs will have limited inventory and product choices.
Earn Rewards!
Scouts can earn rewards for selling popcorn in two ways.
Our Pack uses the money raised to Pay Dues.
As the scout achieves a set sales goals of (e.g. $400), a credit to their scouting account will occur. Sell enough popcorn, and the entire year could be paid for!

Trail's End FAQ
What is the Trail's End App?
The Trail's End App is the tool used buy scouts nationally to order, record and take payments for the annual popcorn fundraiser. This app works with the square reader and charges no fee to the pack.
We have Cub Scouts, they don't have personal phones to use, how does that work?
The app is designed so that scouts can (hopefully) use their parents phone. Internet (Wi-Fi or data) is required to operate the app. If a phone is not an option for the scout, they may take and track order on the paper form. The Parents can then enter the order online and payment can be given to a Pack Leader for Fulfillment
Does a family with multiple Scouts need a separate Trail's End Scout account for each Scout?
Yes, you will need to go through and registration process and create an account for each scout. Each scout needs their own Trail's End account so their sales can be tracked individually in the system.
Can the same email address be used for multiple Trail's End accounts?
Yes, the same email address can be used for multiple accounts, but the usernames must be unique.

Fundraising - Camp Cards
Camp Card (coupon card) Fundraising is the spring fundraiser Pack 631 hosts annually to raise money for the individual scouts. The pack receives up to 45% commission on all camp card sales which applied to scouting accounts. Scouters can then use these funds for camping trips, dues and other pack events.

Annual Dues and other expenses
When you first sign up with BSA, you will be asked to register and pay an annual membership fee. This money goes directly to the National office and Council. Within our Pack, there will be a reoccurring charge from the pack in your Troop Web Host Account. In 2027-2027, this will be a $45 monthly charge. Payment for these are to be made directly in Troop Web Host. Late settlements of your dues will impact your scouts ability to participate in certain events.
IMPORTANT AND CONFUSING: To make payments in Troop Webhost, you must log in via the desktop version. The Mobile App does not allow for payments. You can still use your phone, but you need to visit the website through your browser.
With a full years participation in scouting with the Pack and good financial standing, the next Annual membership dues (National and Council) will be covered by the Pack!
Some Events are not covered by the monthly dues. Camping, as an example, is to be paid for by the families at the time of each event.
